It looked rather feral but beautiful. The mustard, sprouting broccoli, dill and brussels sprouts had all gone to seed and the broad beans were covered in large bean pods! I still can't believe I'm actually growing things to eat. It makes me realise how far removed I've been from the source of food and that you don't have to have a green thumb - just feed 'em, water 'em and check for pests.
Today we had a lovely lunch of home-made lentil burgers & special tomato sauce courtesy of a recipe from Turn Over A New Leaf (and my beloved's marvellous cooking skills :)) with steamed rainbow spinach, cauliflower and broad beans and a broccoli flower garnish. Over half this plate is from our garden, freshly picked right before lunch, delicious and disgustingly healthy.

well just goes to show you can't keep good women down! So with all the flu and unpacking you still managed to get out in the garden and then cook this!! Hope you are both feeling better soon x
